World Matchplay Darts prize money 2026: How much Winner Luke Littler, Gerwyn Price & other Earns the money?

Luke Littler successfully defended his World Matchplay title in spectacular fashion, breaking two of Phil Taylor’s long-standing tournament records along the way.

The 19-year-old defeated seventh seed Gerwyn Price 18-9 in the Blackpool final, becoming only the fourth player in history to win back-to-back World Matchplay titles.

Littler produced one of the greatest performances ever seen at the event, finishing the tournament with an average of 111.04—surpassing Taylor’s previous record of 106.31, set in 2010.

He also set a new record for the highest average in a World Matchplay final, posting an astonishing 111.53 to eclipse Taylor’s mark of 111.23 against Adrian Lewis in 2013.

The victory earned Littler £225,000 in prize money and extended his lead at the top of the PDC’s two-year Order of Merit. He now sits on £3,143,500, holding a commanding £2.13 million advantage over second-placed Luke Humphries..

For the World Matchplay competition, the prize money has increased by £200,000 in total to £1m. In 2025, the total prize pot was at £800,000.

As winner, Littler won £225,000 in prize money, an increase of £25,000 from 12 months ago.

The prize pool for the women’s competition was significantly increased from £25,000 to £40,000, with Greaves taking £15,000 as winner.

Through winning the tournament, Greaves also qualified for the 2026 Grand Slam of Darts and the 2027 PDC World Darts Championship.
